Vit-E-Sel®

Solution for injection.

Indicated in Vitamin E and Selenium deficiencies.

Cattle, sheep and pigs.

Each 1 mL of solution for injection contains:
α Tocopherol Acetate………………………….50 mg
(Equivalent to 68 IU of Vitamin E)
Sodium Selenite Pentahydrate
(Selenium 1.14 mg equivalent)…..3.8 mg
Excipients c.s.p………………………………..1 mL

Indicated in the treatment and prevention of Vitamin E and Selenium deficiencies in young animals, white muscle disease. Treatment and prevention of reproductive disorders: infertility and placental retention. It is also indicated as an adjuvant in the prevention of bovine mastitis.

Intramuscular or subcutaneous in all species.

Dosage of the active ingredients:

• Adult cattle: 1.4 IU of Vitamin E and 0.02 mg of Selenium/kg of body weight.
• Calves: 2.7 IU of Vitamin E and 0.04 mg of Selenium/Kg of body weight.
• Ewes, sows, lambs, piglets: 3.8 IU of Vitamin E and 0.06 mg of Selenium/Kg of body weight.

Product Dosage:

• Adult cattle: 1 mL / 50 kg of weight, in a single dose.
• Calves: 1 mL / 25 kg weight, in a single dose.
• Sheep: 2.5 mL / 45 kg weight, in single dose.
• Lambs, sows, piglets: 1 mL / 18 kg weight, in single dose.

• Some anaphylactic reactions have been reported.
• Intramuscular injections can induce transient muscle discomfort.

• Do not use in newborn piglets.
• Do not use in animals that consume grasses or forages with a high concentration of selenium, as the high amount of selenium can be toxic.
• Do not use on pregnant sheep.

• The absorption, utilization and storage of Vitamin A can be increased by Vitamin E.
• High doses of vitamin E may delay the hematologic response to iron therapy in patients with iron deficiency anemia.

• Keep out of reach of children.
• In adult animals, it is recommended to divide the dose to be administered into two or more points, applying a maximum of 5 mL per injection site.

• Wash your hands after applying the product.
• In case of contact with skin, eyes or mucous membranes, wash immediately with plenty of water.
• In case of accidental injection, seek medical attention and show the product case.

Empty containers can be discarded as household waste, without any special precautions. Do not dispose of containers with product residues on the ground or in waterways. For expired or unused products, contact the manufacturing laboratory.

Cattle:

• Meat: 30 days.
• Milk: Zero (0) days.

Sheep and pigs:

• Meat: 14 days.
• Milk (sheep): Zero (0) days.

Store between 15 and 30 °C, away from light. Once opened, use within 12 weeks. Discard the unused product after that period of time.
