Injectable magnesium.

Bovines and Ovines.

Each 100 mL of injectable solution contains:
Magnesium Sulfate x 7 H2O………………46.6 g
(Equivalent to 4.6 g of Magnesium)
Magnesium Glycerophosphate.……….….…… 4.64 g
(Equivalent to 0.58 g of Magnesium)
Potassium Chloride………………………………………3 g
(Equivalent to 1.57 g of Potassium)
Excipients c.s.p… ………………………..100 mL

In the prevention and treatment of clinical and subclinical hypomagnesemia. Metabolic imbalances due to nutritional deficiencies during lactation, caused by the consumption of fresh or cereal-rich grasses or animals that remain outdoors in winter exposed to sudden climatic changes (rain, frost).

Administer subcutaneously.

• Bovines: 1.04 to 2.59 g of Magnesium and 0.31 to 0.79 g of Potassium, per animal.
• Sheep: 0.52 to 1.04 g of Magnesium and 0.16 to 0.31 g of Potassium, per animal.

• Bovines: 20 to 50 mL of Tonimag® per animal.
• Ovines: 10 to 20 mL of Tonimag® per animal.

• Do not administer to animals with heart and/or kidney failure.
• Do not administer to animals that have hyperkalemia or hypermagnesemia.
• Do not administer to animals with hemolytic disorders, untreated Addison’s disease and acute dehydration.

The use of Magnesium and Potassium in high doses can cause:

• At the CNS level: Drowsiness and neuromuscular weakness.
  
• At the Cardiorespiratory level: Bradycardia, hypotension, hypocalcemia, respiratory depression and increases in the Q-T intervals in the electrocardiogram. Eventually very high doses can cause cardiac arrest.
• Clinical signs may be exacerbated by concomitant hypocalcemia, hyponatremia, or acidosis.

• Keep out of reach of children and pets.
• If a decrease in respiratory and heart rate or alterations in respiratory depth are observed, suspend administration until normal parameters are reestablished.
• Observe and monitor the animal at all times.

• Handle the product with caution.
• In case of accidental self-injection, immediate medical attention should be sought.

Meat: 0 days.
Milk: 0 days.

Discard unused product remains in its original, tightly closed container. Do not throw the empty container or product residue into soils, rivers or streams of water, nor reuse the container. Dispose of waste from this product with caution with household waste.

Store at a temperature between 2 and 30 °C, protected from light. Once the container is opened, use within 1 month and store between 15 and 30 °C, protected from light. Discard leftover product after that period of time.

It is not recommended to use concomitantly with other pharmaceutical products.
