Fungicide – Antiseptic with protective film.

Each 100 g contains:
Copper Naphthenate……………………………… 38 g
(Equivalent to 3.04% Copper)
Excipients c.s.p……………………………….. 100 g

Foot injuries, foot-rot, hoof hardener and plantar pads.

Horses, cattle, pigs, sheep, goats and dogs.

Clean and/or depalm hooves and hooves, then apply the product directly to the affected area and spread it using a brush to obtain a protective film. Treatment can be repeated every 24 hours until symptoms disappear.

Topical.

  • Do not place excess product in areas with hair, it can cause hair loss.
  • Keep out of reach of children and pets.
  • Sheep, particularly breeds such as the Texel, may be especially susceptible to copper poisoning. Use with caution.
  • Poisoning by Sodium Fluoride and Copper Naphthenate has been described in cattle due to the ingestion of a wood preservative. Clinical signs include depression, anorexia, ataxia, diarrhea, and decubitus with ulceration of the pre-stomach and extensive cortical tubular necrosis of the kidney. Biochemical findings indicated that sodium fluoride caused renal necrosis and copper naphthenate may have contributed to abomasal ulceration.
  • When applying the product, wear gloves and a brush.
  • Do not handle by people hypersensitive to the active ingredient.
  • In case of contact with skin, eyes or mucous membranes, wash immediately with plenty of water. In case of irritation, go to a medical center.
  • In case of accidental ingestion, go immediately to a medical center and show the product label.

It is unlikely that overdoses will occur when the product is applied according to the recommendations for use. Sheep are especially susceptible to copper poisoning, which could occur accidentally due to ingestion of the product or contamination of feed or fodder. Doses equivalent to 30 and 50 ppm of copper in feed can be toxic to sheep and cattle, respectively. Signs include depression, anorexia, hepatic necrosis, hemolysis, hemoglobinuria, jaundice, anoxia, hematochezia, and may lead to death.

Transient and reversible coat loss may be observed when the product is applied excessively and runs off hairy areas.

It can be used in pregnant or lactating females, being careful not to apply to the udders of lactating females. Do not administer to breeding animals.

Meat and milk: zero days.
Do not use on horses intended for human consumption.

Empty containers can be discarded as household waste, without any special precautions. Do not dispose of containers with product residues on the ground or in waterways. For expired or unused products, contact the manufacturing laboratory.

Store between 15 and 30 °C, away from light. Use immediately once opened and discard any excess product.
