KET-10® Equine

Solution for injection.

Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory.

Each mL of solution for injection contains:
Ketoprofen………………………………… 100 mg
Excipients c.s.p…………………………… 1 mL

In horses, it is indicated in the relief of inflammation and pain associated with osteoarticular or musculoskeletal alterations, such as lameness of traumatic origin, arthritis, osteoarthritis, tendonitis, bursitis, post-surgical inflammations, among others. It is also indicated in the symptomatic treatment of equine colic and in diseases of the respiratory system that involve inflammatory and painful states.

Horses

Route of administration: Intravenous

• Dosage of the active ingredient:
  2.2 mg Ketoprofen/kg body weight, equivalent to 1 mL of product/45 kg body weight per day.

• Do not administer in pregnant females.
• Do not use in cases of severe renal failure.
• Do not use concomitantly with diuretics or anticoagulants.
• Do not administer to foals younger than 2 weeks of age.
• Do not use in animals with heart disease, liver disease, gastrointestinal ulcers or blood dyscrasias.
• Do not use in animals with known hypersensitivity to the active substance.

Concomitant use with other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs may increase side effects.

Keep out of reach of children and pets.

Do not use meat from treated horses for human consumption.

Store at a temperature between 2° and 30°C, away from light. Once opened, use the product within 3 months. Discard the leftover product after that period of time.
