Anti-inflammatory and anti-allergic.

Each tablet contains:
Dexamethasone……………… 0.25 mg
Excipients c.s.p…………… 1 tablet

Treatment of hypersensitivity disorders such as shock; therapy for immune diseases such as pemphigus; severe cases of dermatitis and systemic lupus erythematosus; musculoskeletal disorders; allergies and hypoadrenocorticism.

Dogs and cats.

Oral.

Anti-inflammatory – Anti-allergic:

  • Dogs: 1 to 4 tablets (0.25 to 1 mg) daily, for 7 days
  • Cats: 1/2 to 2 tablets (0.125 to 0.5 mg) daily for 7 days.
  • Do not use in pregnant females.
  • Do not use in patients with gastric and duodenal ulcers.
  • Do not use in patients with corneal ulcer.
  • Do not use in patients with Diabetes Mellitus or Cushing’s Syndrome.

It can cause polyphagia, polyuria and polydipsia, delay wound healing, weaken resistance to infections or aggravate existing ones. In prolonged treatment it can cause iatrogenic hyperadrenocorticism (Cushing’s Syndrome), with loss of muscle mass, weakness, weight gain with fat redistribution, osteoporosis and ulcers.

  • Concomitant administration with Amphotericin B or caliuretic diuretics (Furosemide, thiazines) may cause hypokalemia.
  • When both drugs are used in conjunction with digitalis glycosides, the possibility of toxicity may increase if hypokalemia occurs.
  • Dexamethasone may reduce blood levels of salicylates.
  • Insulin requirements may be increased in patients receiving dexamethasone.
  • Phenytoin, Phenobarbital and Rifampicin may increase glucocorticoid metabolism.
  • Concomitant administration with cyclosporine may increase blood levels of both drugs, with mutual inhibition of hepatic metabolism.
  • Concomitant administration with ulcerogenic drugs (e.g., nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs) may increase the risk of gastrointestinal ulceration.
  • Patients treated with corticosteroids at immunosuppressive doses should not receive live attenuated virus vaccines, as they may potentiate viral replication.

Wash your hands after administering the product.

  • Keep out of reach of children and pets.
  • In case of prolonged therapy (more than 7 days) it should be gradually discontinued in successive days as indicated by the treating veterinarian.

Do not dispose of containers with product residues on the ground or in waterways. Empty containers can be discarded as household waste, without any special precautions. For expired or unused products, contact the manufacturing laboratory.

Store in a cool, dry place at room temperature between 15 and 30 °C.
