Tablets.

Analgesic, Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory.

Each tablet contains:
Phenylbutazone………………..1 g
Excipients c.s.p…………….1 tablet

Analgesic, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory, indicated in the treatment of alterations in muscles, tendons, ligaments, joints and skin in horses.

Horses.

Oral administration.

2 tablets per 500 kg of body weight, every 12 hours on the first day of treatment, and then 1 tablet per 500 kg of body weight, every 12 hours for 5 to 7 days.

• Do not exceed a maximum dose of 4 g per horse per day.
• Do not administer to animals that are hypersensitive to phenylbutazone.
• Do not administer to animals with heart, kidney or liver failure, dehydrated animals, or in animals with haematological or bone marrow abnormalities.
• Do not administer to pregnant or lactating females.

Gastrointestinal adverse effects are the most important in phenylbutazone therapy in horses. Possible clinical signs include decreased appetite, depression, cramping, weight loss, abdominal edema, hypoproteinemia (decreased blood protein), and diarrhea. In addition, hemorrhages and ulcers may occur in the mouth, esophagus, stomach, intestine, cecum, and right dorsal colon.

It is not recommended for use concomitantly with other pharmaceutical products.

Do not administer to animals intended for human consumption.

• Keep out of reach of children and pets.
• Do not exceed the established dose, as the therapeutic index of phenylbutazone is low.
• Avoid its use in foals or older animals as much as possible due to the risk of renal toxicity.

Wash your hands after handling the product. In case of accidental ingestion, do not induce vomiting. Get medical help.

Dispose of unused product residues in their original packaging. Dispose of waste of this product with caution along with household waste. Do not dispose of empty containers or containers with product residue on the ground or in watercourses.

Store in a cool, dry place at room temperature between 15 and 30°C.
