Equiton®

Oral powder.

Internal and external antiparasitic.

Each 100 g of oral powder contains:
Trichlorfon c.s.p…………………… 100 g

As an internal antiparasitic indicated in the treatment of gastrointestinal parasites in horses, in particular Gasterophilus sp. (“barrels” of the stomach).

Horses.

Oral.

• Dosage of the active ingredient: 40 mg Trichlorfon / kg body weight.
• Dosage of the product: 1 sachet of 20 grams per 500 kg of body weight, in a single dose.

Dissolve the contents of one sachet of Equiton® in 200 mL of water (1 cup) and administer orally.

• Do not administer to pregnant females (over 7 months gestation) or lactating females.
• Do not administer to breeding animals.
• Do not administer to foals under 4 months of age.
• Do not administer to weakened animals.
• Do not administer in animals treated with other organophosphate compounds, anesthetics, muscle relaxants, up to a period of 2 weeks after treatment.
• Do not administer organophosphates to animals that are hypersensitive.

Trichlorfon should not be administered concomitantly with other organophosphates, anesthetics and muscle relaxants.

• Do not handle by pregnant or lactating women, or people who are hypersensitive to organophosphates.
• Avoid contact with food or forage products.
• Potentially toxic product, if used negligently.
• Do not allow children to come into contact with treated animals.
• In humans, chronic exposure to organophosphates can cause damage to the nervous system and clinical signs such as headache, anxiety, or irritability. It is recommended that operators or handlers of this product use protective equipment (mask, gloves) to prevent inhalation or contact with the skin.

Keep out of reach of children.

Do not administer to horses intended for human consumption.

Dispose of waste of this product with caution along with household waste. Do not dispose of containers with product residues on the ground or in waterways. For expired or unused products, contact the manufacturing laboratory.

Store between 15° and 30°C, away from light.
