Parasympathomimetic.

Cattle, horses, sheep and pigs.

Each 10 mL of solution for injection contains:
Neostigmine Methyl sulfate……………………………….5 mg
(Equivalent to 3.34 mg of Neostigmine base)
Excipients c.s.p……………………………………… 10 mL

In the treatment of rumen overload, gastrointestinal atony, urinary retention and meteorism.

Subcutaneous or intramuscular injection.

Dosage of the active ingredients:

• Cattle, horses: 1 mg / 45 kg in weight.
• Sheep: 1 – 1.5 mg / 45 kg in weight.
• Pigs: 2 – 3 mg / 45 kg in weight.

Product Dosage:

• Cattle, adult horses: 10 to 20 mL/animal/day, SC or IM.
• Calves, foals: 10 mL/animal/day, SC or IM.
• Sheep: 0.5 mL / 10 kilos of weight / day, SC.
• Pigs: 1 mL / 10 kilos of weight / day, IM.

• Do not administer in animals with mechanical or urinary tract bowel obstruction.
• Do not administer during pregnancy and lactation.
• Do not administer to animals that have been treated with other anticholinesterase agents.
• Do not administer in animals with hypersensitivity to the drug.

In therapeutic doses, some unwanted effects may occur, such as: constriction of the pupil, constriction of the skeletal musculature and an increase in salivary, sweat or other exocrine gland secretions.

• Keep out of reach of children and pets.
• Administer with caution in animals presenting with heart failure or respiratory tract disease.

• Corticosteroids may reduce the anticholinesterase activity of Neostigmine.
• Neostigmine may prolong phase one blockade of depolarizing muscle relaxants and antagonizes the actions of non-depolarizing neuromuscular blocking agents.
• Atropine antagonizes the muscarinic effects of Neostigmine and is used to reduce the side effects of Neostigmine.

Meat: 0 days.
Do not administer to animals whose milk is intended for human consumption.

Store at room temperature below 25°C. Do not refrigerate or freeze. Once opened, use within 28 days. Discard the unused product after that period of time

Do not handle by people hypersensitive to Neostigmine. In case of contact with skin, eyes or mucous membranes, wash immediately with plenty of water. In case of accidental injection, go immediately to a medical center and show the product label.

Empty containers can be discarded as household waste, without any special precautions. Do not dispose of containers with product residues on the ground or in waterways. For expired or unused products, contact the manufacturing laboratory.
