Today we reaffirm that trajectory with the launch of Meloxivet Gatos, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) specifically formulated for the treatment of pain and inflammation in cats.
Meloxivet Cats contains meloxicam at 0.5 mg/ml, a concentration adapted to the clinical needs of felines, which allows a precise and safe dosage adjustment, optimizing the treatment of pain in this species, where its diagnosis and management still represent a challenge in daily practice.
Main characteristics of Meloxivet Cats:
– Active ingredient: Meloxicam 0.5 mg/ml (NSAID, oxicam class).
– Indications: Control of pain and inflammation in acute locomotor disorders and feline osteoarthritis.
– Recommended dose: 0.2 ml/kg the first day; 0.1 ml/kg once a day for maintenance (0.05 mg/kg).
– Presentation: Palatable oral solution in 15 ml bottle.
– Administration system: Includes tuberculin type dosing syringe (1 ml) for accurate dosage adjustment.
– Directions for use: Administer directly in the mouth or mixed with food.
