Topical solution.

External antiparasitic indicated for the control and elimination of horn flies in cattle.

Each 100 mL of solution contains:
Permethrin………………………….. 10 g
Cypermethrin………………………. 7 g
Piperonyl butoxide……………. 20 g
Excipients c.s.p……………….. 100 mL

Masterfly® is an external antiparasitic indicated for the control and elimination of the horn fly (Haematobia irritans) in cattle. Field studies demonstrated a maximum efficacy of 35 days in the control of horn flies, except under conditions of exposure of the animals to extreme rainfall, in which the efficacy decreases to 21 days.

Topical.

The recommended dose to be administered to cattle is 15 mL for animals up to 250 kg body weight, and 20 mL for animals over 250 kg body weight, in a single dose. It is recommended to treat the entire mass of animals to better control the horn fly. It is recommended that the product be applied with a dosing gun in a longitudinal dorsal line against the grain, from the base of the tail (rump) to the region of the withers, in order to facilitate contact of the product with the skin of the animal.

• Do not administer to cattle intended for milk production.
• Do not administer to animals that are hypersensitive to any of the active ingredients of the composition.
• Do not apply to weakened animals or animals with liver or kidney disease, or to calves under 6 months of age.
• Do not apply in very hot hours, or when the animals are feeding.
• Do not administer during pregnancy, lactation or in breeding animals.

Do not use concomitantly with other pharmaceutical products, mainly carbamates or organophosphates.

• The product is toxic if ingested, and dangerous in case of contact with the skin and eyes (irritant).
• The applicator must wear gloves as a protective element for handling the product.
• Avoid contact with skin, eyes, and clothing.
• Do not smoke, eat or drink during product application.
• Never transfer the product to another container for storage.
• Wash your hands with plenty of soap and water after handling the product and before eating, drinking, or smoking. Wash contaminated clothing before reuse.
• In the case of eye contact, immediately flush the eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes.
• In case of accidental ingestion or persistent irritation, go immediately to a healthcare center and show the case or label of the product.

• Keep out of reach of children and pets.
• Keep away from food.
• Keep in its original container and with its label visible.
• It is recommended to treat the entire mass of animals to better control the horn fly.
• The efficacy of the treatment decreases to 21 days in animals that are exposed to extreme rainfall.

Occasionally, transient signs of local irritation may appear.

Dispose of unused product residues in their original packaging. Do not dispose of empty containers or containers with product residues in rivers, lakes or streams. Do not throw empty containers or containers with leftover product together with household waste. Do not reuse the packaging. Have this product available as much as possible with companies that provide the service to dispose of special waste.

Store between 2 and 30 °C, away from light. Once opened, use within 12 weeks. Discard the unused product after that period of time.

Meat: 14 days.
Milk: Do not administer to cattle in milk production.
