Tablets.

Antibiotic.

Each tablet contains:
Metronidazole……………………………..125 mg
Spiramycin……………………………….750,000 I.U.
Excipients c.s.p……………….……….1 tablet

Metricin®, oral tablet, is indicated for the treatment of oral and dental conditions (gingivitis, stomatitis and periodontitis) in dogs, caused by bacteria susceptible to the association, such as Moraxella spp., Bacteroides spp., Porphyromonas (Bacteroides) asaccharolyticcus, Peptostreptococcus spp., oral pathogenic spirochetes and Treponema spp.

• Dose of active ingredients: 12.5 mg of Metronidazole and 75,000 I.U. of Spiramycin per kilo of weight, once a day, for 7 to 10 days.
• Product dosage: One tablet per 10 kilos of weight, once a day, for 7 to 10 days.

Orally.
Administer together with food or directly into the animal’s mouth.

Dogs.

• After therapy with the Spiramycin – Metronidazole association in dogs, cases of softening of feces and diarrhea have been reported.
• The administration of the product Metricina®, Oral Tablet, in the recommended dose and duration of treatment, did not generate clinical or laboratory alterations in the treated dogs, and no changes were observed in the health status of the animals attributed to the product.< /li>

• Keep out of reach of children and pets.
• Use with caution in animals with hepatic and/or renal dysfunction.
• In case of periodontitis, therapy should be associated with dental scaling.

• Metronidazole interacts with Cimetidine. The hepatic metabolism of Metronidazole is decreased when both drugs are administered together.
• Phenobarbital can induce hepatic microsomal enzymes, increasing the metabolism of Metronidazole, resulting in lower half-life and plasma concentrations.
• The effect of macrolides can be antagonistic when used together with Chloramphenicol or lincosamides.
• Do not use concomitantly with other pharmaceutical products.

• Do not use in animals with hypersensitivity to Metronidazole, nitroimidazole derivatives or Spiramycin.
• Do not administer to severely weakened animals.
• Do not administer to pregnant or lactating females.
• Do not administer to reproductive animals.
• Do not use together with Chloramphenicol or lincosamides.

• Wear gloves to administer the product.
• Wash your hands after administering the product.
• Do not eat, drink or smoke when handling and administering the product.
• In case of accidental ingestion, do not induce vomiting. Go to a nearby medical center.
• In case of contact with eyes, wash with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. If there is any type of irritation, it is recommended to see a doctor.

Store at room temperature below 30°C. Do not refrigerate or freeze.

Empty containers can be discarded as household waste, without any special precautions. Do not dispose of containers with product remains on the ground or in water courses. For expired or unused products, contact the manufacturing laboratory.
